The objective of the course is for students to understand the:
a) role of HR in shaping employee behavior, organizational strategy, and leading change;
b) leadership role of managers as creators, implementers, and monitors of HR practices and organizational strategy; and,
c) current HR-related issues managers face today in organizations.
Students learn about managing and leading human resources from discussions of general management issues, case analysis, and contemporary issues; however, there will be some lectures to present and establish a framework for topics.
